Recommended Order of Reading

All of our books, with the exception of the study guides, are designed to stand alone. However, if you are planning to read the entire Uncle Eric series, all of our titles, or use one of our curriculum packages, we have listed below our suggested order of reading. Certain books are meant to be studied simultaneously (i.e. a Bluestocking Guide with it’s corresponding primary source book), to help illustrate this we have organized the books in segments. The suggested reading orders are listed below.

Though above is the suggested reading order for the Uncle Eric books, you may have reasons for altering this order of reading. For example, Whatever Happened to Penny Candy? has a suggested reading age of 10 years and older, whereas the other Uncle Eric books have a suggested reading age of 12 or 14 years and older. Because of this, some younger students have started reading Whatever Happened to Penny Candy? first.

Also, the Uncle Eric books reference each other – so you may choose to read a book “out of order” because of these references, or because of a specific subject you are currently studying.
